Birth of a Cria

We were lucky enough to witness the entire birth of Winter Star’s cria, The Yankee Clipper.  It was a beautiful September day about 11:00 and she was out grazing in the field with the rest of the girls.  I had been watching her closely for the last couple of days.  She was slowly working her way through any  grass that was left this late in the season.  Every few minutes  I could see her contracting.  Soon I saw some toes and ran to get the camera.  Here are the amazing pictures I was able to take of this miraculous event.
